Homework Assignment

HVAC Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning.

It’s on buyers minds when they are buying homes. If it’s not, it should be. So as a seller, you should know that the HVAC will be discussed either at the contract negotiation or at the inspection. Be ready for it. Is the furnace and/or AC unit old? Are they dirty? Rusty? What kind of warranty does the system have in place? Is the warranty transferrable to a new owner? When was the last time you had it inspected? A new HVAC system will cost anywhere from $2500 to well over $10,000, so be ready for what is to come in the negotiations!

Happy selling!
