“Homework” Assignment

Here is something you might not be thinking about when you are getting you home ready to sell. The kitchen sink. This is the most used item in the house, in most homes at least. Make sure that it is in good shape and clean. My suggestion is almost just like the suggestion I made a few weeks back regarding the front door. If it is in rough shape, replace it. It doesn’t have to be fancy, just clean. (Fancy is ok too!) The kitchen sink is not a first impression item like the front door, but it does have a huge impact on a buyers decision making process. If kitchens and baths are dirty, it turns buyers off to the rest of the house. So it starts with the kitchen sink. Shiny and new is best!

  1. Great advice! My wife and I are shopping for a home now and we ALWAYS look at details like the cleanliness of the kitchen sink (and things like the baths and showers).
