Today’s Homework Assignment

Clutter is king, the king of wrecking a sale! This doesn’t pertain just to the stuff on countertops and hung on walls. If the buyer has a hard time walking from one side of a room to another, the room has too much in it. We tend to decorate our homes with more than what we need. During a sale we should only have the furniture that is necessary in each room. Any more than that is a distraction. It makes the room appear smaller.
I suggest to sellers to rent a removable storage unit like Pods and store their stuff in it temporarily for the sale. Then once the sale is done, it’s already packed up and ready to move to the next house!
Make sure you hire a Realtor that knows which things can be considered clutter and which things can stay.
