What ever happened to “How Can I Help You?”

“How Can I Help You?” Lately this question has more meaning to me. In this economic environment we find ourselves in, there are plenty of folks that need help. For years I felt that it just wasn’t appropriate to ask people how they were doing financially. It was intrusive to ask them if I can help. Well, now I know that if I don’t ask if I can help, I never get the opportunity to do so. So recently, I have decided to pry. Pry in a good way. I want my customers to know that I am here to help, that I want the opportunity to help, and to remind them that I am truly in a position to help. This kind of communication is not only appropriate, but necessary. The way I see it, if someone is in a hole and needs a hand up, I would never know it if I don’t look into that hole. So keep looking, keep asking, keep engaging your clients. Remind them that you mean it when you ask, “How can I help you?”

So now I am asking, do you need my help? Please let me know.
